I have been teaching art at Abbot since 2010. I believe that all students can have creative success in the art classroom. Every student in my class will have the opportunity to experiment with different art media and learn useful techniques, furthering their ability to communicate through the visual arts. My goal is to provide experiences where young people can exercise their creative and critical thinking skills.

I have a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree from Eastern Michigan University, focusing on textiles. I am also a working artist, selling my origami & blown glass creations at local art fairs. When I am not teaching or making art, I spend as much time as I can with my family and pets. I enjoy hiking, camping, and swimming in Michigan’s fresh waters. I also take pleasure in tending to my backyard vegetable garden.
