Mrs. Jarjoura

Hello! My name is Reema Jarjoura, and I’ve been at King School for many years.  I was born and raised in Ann Arbor to Arab immigrant parents and went through the public schools, attending Thurston Elementary, Clague Middle School and Huron High School. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University and have a Master’s Degree in the Art of Teaching.

My husband, Joseph Jarjoura, is an Engineer at Toyota Technical Center.  We have two daughters, Layla (23) and Jenna (21). Layla lives in Nashville, Tennessee and is working in Business. Jenna is a senior at UM, studying Architecture & Environmental Sustainability. We also have a fun and loving dog named Sadie, who is 13 years old! In our spare time we enjoy biking, traveling and attending various sporting, social and cultural events with our family and friends.

I believe that all children have a love for learning and a thirst for knowledge! I look forward to teaching Fourth Grade this 2024-2025 school year. We have an amazing team, and am fortunate to be able to work with students and families from many different cultural backgrounds. It's important to me that my students develop an open mindset and that they feel welcomed in a safe, nurturing and supportive environment.

My hope for this school year is that we embrace our differences by listening and learning from new perspectives, helping each of us grow.
