  • Guidelines for a Perpetual Common School Calendar for Washtenaw County School Districts

    As mandated by State law, all Washtenaw County Public School Districts have to set common calendars to coordinate Winter and Spring breaks, as well as the common State of Michigan start of school.

    First Day of School for 学生:

    • August 28th will be the first day of the 2023-24 school year.

    春假:

    • Spring Break will be scheduled for 最后一个星期一 in 3月, unless 最后一个星期一 is 3月 31. In that case, Spring Break will begin at the end of the day on 3月 21.
    • Districts are encour年龄d to schedule one full Professional Development Day to be held any time during the week immediately preceding Labor Day.
    • Districts are encour年龄d to schedule one Professional Development Day every other November on general election day.
    Other breaks are negotiated by each district within the framework of the teachers' association contract.
